June 28, 2019

Huron, S.D. – Dr. Todd Anderson, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined the Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) medical staff, according to David Dick, president and CEO of HRMC.
Dr. Anderson, who has provided orthopedic care for nearly 30 years to patients in California, Montana and South Dakota, will provide local orthopedic services to people of all ages at the HRMC Physicians Clinic on a two-week per month rotating basis. He specializes in trauma surgery, sports medicine and total joint replacement.
“I am pleased that Dr. Anderson has agreed to bring additional orthopedic coverage to the Huron community,” said Dick. “His commitment to being in Huron for two weeks every month will increase the accessibility of ortho services provided locally.”
Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He completed his residency at the Los Angeles County/University of USC Medical Center. He is a current member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
“I look forward to serving Huron and the surrounding communities with on-site, local orthopedic care,” said Dr. Anderson. “I’ve lived in South Dakota for five years and have grown to appreciate the benefits of practicing in a rural community and look forward to caring for the people of the Huron area.”
Dr. Anderson starts his practice July 8 and will see patients in the clinic and emergency room and perform surgery on a rotating two-weeks-per-month schedule. He lives in Spearfish with his wife, Julia, and 15-year-old son Dane. In his spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys being outdoors, camping, hunting, golfing and swimming.
He is currently accepting new patients and no referral is needed. Call 605-353-7660 for more information.
